E.B.C.S. is located in beautiful Greenacres, Florida.  For many years, we felt the need for a seminary where all people, young and old alike, could study and train for the field of service for which God has called them.  Also, that individuals may have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of a Christian life, having the desire to keep an Interdenominational spirit in our midst.

At the Evangelical Bible Seminary, we are Interdenominational,.  Interdenominational means different denominations working together for the same purpose.

After many years of prayer and hard work God, in an unusual way, led us to open a Bible Seminary here in Greenacres, Florida.  On April 14, 1975, with five students and two teachers, we launched out to fulfill the will of God.  In 2001, the name was changed to Evangelical Bible  College & Seminary.  We are proud of our graduates, who have gone throughout the United States, the Philippines, India, El Salvador, Jamaica, and many other countries.  Some hold leadership positions in international Christian organizations, while others are pastors and church leaders.

Since 1975, the Evangelical Bible College & seminary has been a launching pad for the Kingdom, training and equipping Christian soldiers to go out and spread the Word of God all over the world.  Our prayer and desire is to help you fulfill the calling that God has placed on your life.

     May God bless you always.

Seminary Creed

We believe the Holy Bible is fully inspired by God’s Spirit in the original languages.

We believe in One God, existing in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.

We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort and heal those who believe in Jesus Christ.

We believe that man is totally depraved in that of himself he is utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.

We believe in the water baptism of believers, symbolizing the believer’s union in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper, commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind.

We believe the life of the believer is to be separated from the world by consistent conduct before God and man, and is to be in the world as life giving light.

We believe in the personal and visible and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Accreditation

E.B.C.S. is accredited by the National Association of Christian Educators.  While this accreditation is recognized by many other schools and colleges, it is not recognized by the Federal Government as it relates to Title IV or V.  Therefore, students cannot receive federal funding.

We are also accredited through Transworld Accreditation Commission.

E.B.C.S. is exempt from state licensure under the laws and rules regulating private religious education; Chapter 1005.6 Florida Statutes, and has a current letter of exemption from the Florida Department of Education.

Transferring E.B.C.S. credits TO other institutions:

Transfer of credits to another institution is always at the discretion of the receiving institution.  Even among fully accredited schools that are recognized by the federal government, transfer of credits is never guaranteed.  In most instances, transferring of credits from similar programs is the most effective way for credits to be accepted.  Most Transworld accredited schools and NACE accredited schools will accept transfer credits.

Transferring credits to E.B.C.S. FROM other institutions:

Fees apply for transferring credits to E.B.C.S. from other recognized institutions.  See page 16 for more information.

All courses for which the student has received credits and maintained a passing grade at the granting institution will be transferred as long as the course of study aligns with a similar course and degree program at E.B.C.S.  The evaluation of credits, accepted or rejected, is solely at the discretion of the E.B.C.S. Administrator.  Most Transworld accredited schools and NACE accredited schools will be accepted as transfer credits.

Transferring credits from E.B.C.S. Extension School Programs:

All credits from an E.B.C.S. Affiliate School are transferrable through the Doctorate level for full value.  Transfer fees may apply.

Admission Policies and Procedures

E.B.C.S. accepts Christian students of any race.  Students must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.  They must be of good moral Christian character, and have the abilities capable of being trained and developed to fit their chosen field of Christian Service.

You may complete your theological training, and prepare for the ministry as a Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, Missionary, etc.  You may consolidate your accumulated earned credits from various Bible schools, colleges, or from secular colleges.  You may receive credit for your ministry experience.  You may earn religious education degrees, including the Chaplain Certificate, Associate, Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate.

All transcripts of grades from any previous school should accompany the admission application.  Please also include a $35.00 registration fee and a  recent photograph of yourself.  If you are seeking life experience credits for ministry work, please submit a current resume as well.

Students will receive an Academic Projection of Classes Required for their degree.

 Distance Learning Program

Distance Learning courses are available at the same cost as campus courses ($40 per credit hour).   The student must reside 50 miles or more from the nearest campus.  A student living within 50 miles must attend classes at the campus.

When taking distance learning courses, students will receive text books on courses and be put in communication with the on-campus professor of that course.  The professor of that subject will give assignments and give final grades.  Students must receive a passing grade of 75% to receive credit for that class.  The student must meet the professor’s requirements.  All work must be turned in 2 weeks before the end of each semester.  Students must re-enroll each semester and register for new classes.

Some exceptions may be given for missionaries, traveling evangelists, or illness.  These exceptions will be made by the administrators only.  Some extra expenses may be charged for shipping cost of books.

When required classes or degree programs are not offered during any semester, students may take these classes in a home-bound format at the same cost as regular classes.

High School Dual Enrollment

We are pleased to have worked with High School students wishing to further their Biblical studies by offering several college courses that are also approved for elective credits in High School.

To make sure these credits are accepted, a written letter from the student’s High School to the Administrator at E.B.C.S. is requested that states confirmation of acceptance.  If the student only wants college credit from E.B.C.S., the letter is not necessary.  Home schooled students are also qualified for Dual Enrollment.

All students must be able to work at the collegiate level.  Students under 18 must have written consent from a parent or guardian.  All students must have a teacher or administrator’s academic recommendation to enroll.

Application Procedure

1. Submit to the Registrar a completed application form and recommendations.  Form must accompany a $35 non-refundable application fee along with a copy of a current photo ID and Social Security card.
